The study was conducted in six regions viz. Biyyam, Puzhambram, Chamaravattom, Kadavanad, Ponnani and Puthuponnani. The impact of socio-economic changes on salinity intrusion were identified and alternate strategies for better utilization of available water sources in coastal areas were also suggested.
